How to Prepare the Perfect Presentation!

[ ] Decide how to begin and end the presentation. Are you going to tell a joke, make a statement, etc?

[1] Brainstorm for ideas. Choose an interesting holiday destination and think about why it's interesting.

[ ] Decide who is going to present each part of the presentation.

[ ] Check your equipment (CD player, laptop, etc.).

[ ] Decide how to present the information. Are you going to use videos, music, drawings, PowerPoint® slides, etc.?

[ ] Research for information on the Internet, in travel books, encyclopaedias, etc.

[ ] Rehearse and time your presentation.

[ ] Prepare your notes. Write down key words/sentences.

[ ] Choose and organise the information. What information are you going to give first, second, etc.?

[ ] Decide what to include in the Introduction, Main Body and Conclusion.

Remember to use simple, short sentences.

Eye contact with your classmates is important.

Speak clearly and not too quickly.

Entertain your classmates with music, pictures, jokes, etc.

Never read from your note cards or slides.

Try to keep calm and relaxed!
