There is much more to Kenya than game reserves. Although the Masai are a nomadic tribe, on this tour you will visit a real Masai village. You’ll see the Masai wives at work and play with their children. The Masai men will accompany you on bush walks. You will watch them tend their cattle and learn about the signs and trails that they follow. At night you will sleep in tents under the stars with the Masai warriors as your guards. By the end of this tour, you will have gained an insight into the Africa of the past, and a tribe whose traditions will change in the modern world.

This trip will take you into the heart of the Umfolozi Game Reserve in KwaZulu Natal. It is an area of untouched wilderness that can only be reached on foot. You will be walking up to 25 kilometres a day with two Zulu rangers and camping in the bush. This might be your chance to see wild game up close – scary! But also to see the signs of the animals’ daily lives – where do they eat, what are their habits, where have they been? A Zulu cook will provide meals cooked on an open fire and packed lunches. This four-day walk will give you the thrill of a lifetime.

You will see the two faces of Japan – Tokyo, the vertical city, and the unspoilt beauty of rural Japan. In the city we’ll be hanging out in Harajuku, shopping in Shibuya and singing karaoke with the locals. Leaving the city you’ll see a side to Japan you never thought existed – rolling green hills and misty mornings. We will travel on the ultra-modern bullet trains, but stay in monasteries. Rooms are big and airy with tatami floors. You’ll visit ‘onsen’ or thermal springs where we recommend you bath communally like the Japanese. We guarantee you won’t want to go home at the end of this trip.

This is a unique opportunity to experience life with the Vietnamese Hill Tribes. The five-day walk begins at Sapa in the Tonkinese Alps near the Chinese border. You will get a chance to visit the famous ‘Love Market’, so called because this is where the men and women used to find a partner. Our evenings will be spent in village homes along our way. There are numerous different tribes in the northern Vietnam. By the end of this trip you will have come across different styles of clothing, different foods, but always a friendly welcome.
