Speaker 1: Good morning.

Speaker 1: Can I help you?

Speaker 2: Oh, hello. Yes, I'm gonna start my second year at Bristol University in September and I'm looking for somewhere to live.

Speaker 1: What kind of place are you looking for?

Speaker 2: I don't know, really.

Speaker 1: Well, do you want to live in a shared house or are you looking for your own flat?

Speaker 2: I'm not sure. I suppose a flat is gonna be more expensive.

Speaker 1: Probably. But it depends where it is. A one-bed flat near the university is gonna cost about seven or eight hundred pounds a month. But if you go further out, to the edge of the city, you can find one for maybe four or five hundred.

Speaker 2: That's quite expensive. I've got two friends who I can share with.

Speaker 1: Then a house is better for you, I think.

Speaker 2: How much does it cost to live in a house?

Speaker 1: Between about two hundred and four hundred pounds a month.

Speaker 2: That's cheap. About seventy pounds to one hundred and thirty pounds each.

Speaker 1: No, two hundred to four hundred per person.

Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Can you show me some houses?

Speaker 1: This one is outside Bristol. Two hundred and fifty pounds a week. It's got a nice big dining room and living room. And there's a dishwasher in the kitchen.

Speaker 2: I really wanna be closer to the center.

Speaker 1: Okay, well, this one is three hundred pounds. It's about a mile from the center. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. It's in quite a lively part of town.

Speaker 2: Lively? So, quite noisy?

Speaker 1: Yes, I think so. This one's in a quieter area. It's three hundred and twenty pounds, sharing with two others.

Speaker 2: It sounds great. Is there a shared bathroom?

Speaker 1: Yes, it's a shared bathroom. Do you wanna visit the house?

Speaker 2: Yes, please.

Speaker 1: Are you free at the weekend?

Speaker 2: On Saturday, yes, but not on Sunday.

Speaker 1: Okay. I'll ring the landlord now and make an appointment.
