Students Raise Money for Computers

Students at Maple Hill school performed in a talent show on Friday to raise money to buy computers for their school library. The show took place in the school auditorium. Students sang, danced, and played musical instruments to entertain their families, neighbours and friends. They presented a film about their after-classes activities. The school drama club performed a play which the students wrote themselves in a winter camp. After the show they were able to raise 2000 pounds. “I was impressed!

They are all so talented!” said one parent who attended the show. The headteacher was more impressed by how determined the students were. “They were asking me every few months for computers but we didn’t have enough money. So they decided to solve the problem themselves! I am really proud of them!” The talent show was a great success and Maple Hill school plans to repeat the event next year. They are going to invite the students’ parents to take part in the show.
