7 Read the text, underline all the modal verbs and explain their use with special attention to have to and must.

I am now attending a new school. It's different from many other schools in the city. There are rules in it, but school children are free to make some decisions.

Our day starts at 8.30. We have to arrive 10 minutes before the classes start — at 8.20. We have to wear a uniform, the colour of which may vary: black, brown or navy blue. But we must decide on the colour ourselves.

There are breaks between classes, one of which is for lunch. We have to go to the school canteen to have lunch there and must choose what we are going to eat from the menu.

We have to attend school every day. We do not have to go to school on the weekends. But we can have one day off in the middle of the week — we must make the choice ourselves. We have to inform the teacher about our decision in advance. I must tell you it is the best school in the city!
