Alexander Cummins made the first one in 1775, although some people think the Chinese had invented one 2,000 years before. People have always wanted to make themselves look beautiful, and the first lipstick dates from Ancient Babylon. They used crushed stones, but Cleopatra's beautiful, red lips were the result of crushed beetles and red ants. Tasty!
