For those of you who don't know me, my name is Chase Cooper, and I'm in sixth grade at Buchanan School. Let me tell you about some details of what's happened since my first diary.

When I first started Buchanan, I was afraid to feel alone but that never really happened. My cousin Zoe goes here too, so that's been very helpful because she already knows everyone. She's pop- ular, but she doesn't think so. She says she is just friends with everyone. Now she's the head of the cheerleading squad,¹ first choir violin in Orchestra and has perfect marks.

I think Brayden is my best friend now. I met him on the sec- ond day of school during PE class. He's got this strange interest in werewolves.

In the past week, I've also become good friends with a girl named Faith. Last week, we were paired together as science lab partners. She's one of the coolest girls I've ever met. She plays soccer and volleyball, loves horror² movies from the '90s, and has taken first place in the video game tournament! I mean ... you know, she's cool ... for a girl.
