A In 1991, Armstrong competed in his first race, the Tour DuPont: a long and difficult 12-stage race, covering 1,085 miles over 11 days. He did not win the race, but he did very well. After that, he took part in many races and won quite a few.

D The cyclist Lance Armstrong is one of the most famous athletes in the world. He was born on September 18, 1971 in Texas. He is tall and slim with short blond hair and blue eyes. He began running and swimming when he was 10 and started competitive cycling at 13.

A Usain Bolt is a Jamaican retired sprinter. He is one of the most famous athletes in the world and the greatest sprinter of all time. He is an eleven-time World Champion. His media nickname was 'Lightning Bolt'.

B In 2008, Bolt competed in his first Olympic Games in Beijing, China. He ran in the 100m and the 200m races. Even though he was young and inexperienced, he won gold in both races and even set new world records. Afterwards he was famous all over the world.

C There are many reasons why I admire Usain Bolt. He is hardworking and caring, but also takes the time to enjoy his life. He is a very talented cricketer and a dancehall music producer. People who meet him say that he is a relaxed and happy person. He proved that people can be successful, help others and have fun as well.

D Soon after, Bolt used his money and fame to start the Usain Bolt Foundation. It is a charity organisation, which helps poor children and children with special needs in Jamaica. Bolt spent a lot of time visiting children's homes and schools to inspire them to follow their dreams. The foundation also paid for doctors and medical treatment for sick children.

E Usain Bolt was born on the 21st of August 1986 in Jamaica. He is tall and muscled, with dark skin, dark hair and brown eyes. He began sprinting when he was a teenager and started running in competitions when he was just 15 years old.
