Think of a library and you'll immediately imagine hundreds of shelves with all kinds of books. That image hasn't changed for decades, even though libraries have. Today's library is no longer defined by the number of books it has on its shelves, but rather it is now about being a living space for the users. The "relational library" is a new development where libraries become a meeting and interaction place for people. Modern libraries help us find the way we can learn things and enjoy books in the digital age. They offer access (доступ) to books in every possible form and format. Every day, libraries around the world lend their patrons millions of books, e-books, audiobooks, videos, or games. Millions of megabytes of free internet access.

Modern libraries turn into cultural and learning centers for the digital age. Many lend out mobile hotspots. Others offer classes in the latest tech, such as 3D printing, music-editing software.

A lot of useful innovative technologies can be used at the libraries in future. Among them there are big data, artificial intelligence, digital interfaces for printed books, driverless cars and many others.

Libraries are first known as places for learning. Look at the top seven major reasons that attract students and adults to study at the modern library:
