A: Well, what can you say about this new sci-fi film?

B: (1) ... I'm rather tired of all those cyborgs, androids, war machines and things. I don't think that people will ever allow them to get out of control, to take the upper hand of us (2) ....

A: You are very optimistic, aren't you? (3) ... I'd like to say that the process is already under way. A failure in a computer system can leave a huge city without electric power, for example. (4) ... we already depend on ITs too much.

B: (5) ... I can agree with you but I believe in the power of human intellect. If scientists work together, they can very soon solve the problem.

A: (6) ... they are late. What will become of the world, what will become of us?

B: Don't panic, there's still time. (7) ..., the film is not quite in my line, though the special effects are very impressive.

B: (5) Generally speaking... I can agree with you but I believe in the power of human intellect. If scientists work together, they can very soon solve the problem.

A: (6) Supposing... they are late. What will become of the world, what will become of us?

B: Don't panic, there's still time. (7) to get back to the point..., the film is not quite in my line, though the special effects are very impressive.

I support B's opinion. While A makes a good point about our dependence on technology, I think B is right to believe in human intellect. We created this technology, so we should be able to control it and solve any problems that arise. Being too pessimistic like A doesn't help find solutions. It's better to be optimistic and work towards a better future.

Я поддерживаю мнение Б. Хотя А приводит хороший аргумент о нашей зависимости от технологий, я думаю, что Б прав, веря в человеческий интеллект. Мы создали эти технологии, значит, мы должны быть в состоянии их контролировать и решать любые возникающие проблемы. Быть слишком пессимистичным, как А, не помогает находить решения. Лучше быть оптимистом и работать ради лучшего будущего.
