Dear Mum,

Today was my first day as a secret ¹agent. I got the job because the head of the secret service was a member of the same university ²_________ as me. I had a terrible day though and need someone I can confide ³_________. The first thing that happened was that I was given my ⁴_________. From now on, I am 'Grey Fox'. Then I got some papers. I leafed ⁵_________ them and found out what my duties were. I was to be sent in ⁶_________ of an enemy agent. I followed the instructions and found myself in an ⁷_________ building, the biggest I have ever seen. I walked along a dirty, dark ⁸_________. Suddenly, a light came on, and I could see the ⁹_________ of two men on the wall. One of them had to be him. I followed quietly. They stopped and talked in ¹⁰_________ voices, then one of them left. I could see the other man ¹¹_________ down and look at something on the floor. He stayed there for ages. I thought he would never get up again, but, ¹²_________, he did and, when he had disappeared, I went to look at what he had seen. There, on the floor, written in the ¹³_________ (I told you it was dirty) was a coded message. It ¹⁴_________ to me that it could be a trap, but I wasn't scared. I left the building, but where had the enemy agent gone? There wasn't a sign of him anywhere. I was ¹⁵_________ disappointed. I went back to headquarters to tell my boss. When I told him what had happened, he was furious, especially as I had forgotten to write down what the message was. The other agents thought it was ¹⁶_________ and were laughing at me all afternoon.
