5 A. Read the text and say if the girl's answer was as good as the teacher's question.

When Larry finished college, he became a teacher in a primary school. His favourite subject was geography. Larry's lessons were never boring as he was always ready to have a joke with his pupils. The boys and girls were also ready to have some fun with their teacher.

Once Larry asked one of the pupils, “Where is Turkey¹?”

“Turkey¹, sir?” the boy said. “You find it on the table during Christmas celebrations.”

“Very funny!” answered Larry with a smile, and the class laughed loudly. “Do you really know where it is?”

“The country is partly European and partly Asian,” came the right answer. The next few pupils also gave funny answers to Larry's questions.

There was a clever girl in the class and the teacher turned to her next. “Let's see,” he said, “if you can be serious², Mary. What is the equator³?”

“It's an imaginary⁴ line round our planet,” Mary answered.

“Good,” Larry said. “But do you understand what it really means? Can you, for example, tie a knot⁵ in the equator?”

“Yes, sir,” the girl said. “As the equator is an imaginary line, you can tie an imaginary knot in it,” answered the creative girl.

B. Find in the text examples of words with the suffixes — -er, -tion, -an, -ly, -y, -ive.
