Autumn Prospectus

A Carpentry

Three evenings a week (Monday, Thursday, Friday) 6.30–8.00

This ten-week carpentry course is a follow-up to the basic woodwork course which we also run at the college. Participants should have some experience of working with wood. The course is aimed at those who want to learn more advanced techniques. By the end of the course, learners will be able to create items such as chairs or coffee tables.

B Jewellery Making

Two evenings a week (days not decided) 6.00–8.00

For those with a creative flair who want to learn a new skill or maybe even start a new business! This six-week course takes you to intermediate level in working with gold and silver.

* Participants must pay for their own silver and gold.

C Latin Dance

Every Thursday 7.00–8.15

An undemanding class for beginners and others who simply want a fun way to keep fit. You'll learn classic dances such as the tango, the samba and the rumba, as well as the salsa. If you've joined one of our classes before, you might see some old friends and maybe a few new faces. You don't have to bring a partner, just come along!

D Plumbing

Four evenings a week (Monday – Thursday) 6.00–8.00

A thirty-week course leading to the Town and Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Plumbing and Drainage Technology. Ideal for those aiming to train for their first career or mature students looking to retrain for a career change.

E Tai Chi

Available every evening (Monday – Friday) 7.30–8.30

A new course offered alongside our yoga classes (also Monday to Friday), these classes are ideal for anyone who wants to exercise, but cannot cope with more strenuous activities. Suitable for old and young alike, you can enrol for the whole course or just drop in whenever you want.

F Watercolour Technique

One evening a week (Monday) 5.30–7.00

This term we continue our popular class on how to paint with watercolours. The class is a mixed-ability class, so whether you're another Picasso or just a total beginner, you're very welcome.
