Frank and Sue meet as agreed at seven.

Frank: Hello, Sue. How lovely to see you!

Sue: Hello. I'm sorry I'm late, but my bus was held up in a traffic jam.1

Frank: I almost thought you weren't coming.

Sue: Well ...
