Different teenagers estimate¹ this period of their life differently. Many of them like it and think that being a teenager is exciting because there are so many opportunities. There are so many things that you can do and then things that you can't do that you can still try to do. Also, there are many things that you have to look forward to. Teenagers try to prepare themselves for their future. They think about their prospective jobs, possibilities to go to universities, their coming finals.

Other young boys and girls disagree. They say that being a teenager today is not as easy as it seems. They stress that every day young people face the necessity to make decisions that can affect their future. And it is very difficult to make the right decision.

Sometimes their choice depends on their emotions or lack of knowledge. Teenagers feel real pressure, they have to learn so many things, prepare for their final exams, help their families and often earn money. It is extremely important to realize that decisions teenagers make reflect their values and the things that are important to them.
